Pro Tip: I was reminded by a friend today of this truism. We are teaching kids to be one of two things “problem havers” or “problem solvers.” The difference between the two being one kid has been taught to expose said problem and use the skills, steps and pathways to follow for creative resolution. The other knows only that they have a problem and either accepts it and or avoids exposer of said problem. So I’m throwing this out for myself and others to ponder. What am I doing to move students towards being problem solvers?
